| About | I met candidate Claire Levy back in early 2006 at my neighbor Terry Greenberg's house. There were just a few neighbors present but Claire was really happy we were there! She answered our questions and revealed some of the ideas that became consistent themes in her legislative career. Afterwards, she took the time to tour my solar home and ask more questions.
Over time State Representative Levy's introduced the Colorado Community Solar Gardens Act (passed in 2010) which allows renters and low income folks to have the same utility deduction benefit for shared neighborhood photovoltaic arrays as if they owned their own roofs! She's done amazing work in many areas but this solar legislation is close to my heart.
Although up for re-election this fall in a re-drawn House District 13 spanning several counties in both rural and urban areas, Representative Levy (www.clairelevy.org) has spent most of her campaign time helping others get elected. She truly recognizes the need for coalitions to unstick "stalled" legislation. You can help Claire out while enjoying some terrific music by a former Boulder resident Gretchen Peters, a Nashville-based, Grammy-nominated performing songwriter.
